POLICIES

Clients are expected to keep their appointments. Remember that the appointment time has been specifically reserved for you. A 24-hour cancellation is requested. Broken appointments that were not canceled will be billed at the agreed upon rate.
      My usual fee for the normal 50 minute session is $100.00, unless we have made a monetary adjustment due to special circumstances.
      The nature of therapist/client relationships is one of service. Ethically, I can not be your social friend. Sometimes, we become so close in the therapeutic relationship that clients wish to be friends. Remember, I can be more helpful to you as a non-friend, as your therapist.

PAYMENT & FEES

      Marriage and Family therapists are in the business of helping people in their relationships with themselves and other people. We are process oriented and our goal is to guide you through tough situations and help you develop coping skills that will carry over into the rest of your life.

      It is not the therapist’s responsibility to change you. Each person must be willing to do his/her own work and possess an attitude of willingness to face tough issues and painful emotions. Most people enter into psycho-therapy with losses of some kind. It is my belief that to identify and grieve all of the losses in one’s life clears the pathway to new growth. It makes a person deeper, more compassionate toward oneself and others.  As you enter into therapy with me, this is what you agree to.

Payment
Payment is due at time of service. I do not accept credit or debit cards. Some health companies will allow to “choose an out of network” provider, in which case I will be glad to provide you with an itemized bill.

Fees
I charge a standard fee; however, sliding fees are available based on need.
