Carol believes that loss is at the heart of everything that brings people into therapy. From the moment we are born, losses occur daily, covering the entire range of human pain. Examples are: parents who are unable to provide basic nurturing, dreams that never materialize, relationships that go awry or are lost, health that is compromised, issues of aging, and accidents or violent acts that change life forever. The list is endless!
Unresolved grief has the power to arrest our emotional development and keep us “stuck.” A few manifestations of this are: mood disorders, addictions, broken relationships, poor self esteem, violence, personality disorders, and physical illness.
Seeking help can help us process and integrate our losses at deep levels, enabling insight and transformation.
Carol’s goal as a therapist is to provide guidance and encouragement to clients as they travel personal grief roads toward transformative healing and new lives.
Carol was widowed young. She finished raising four sons as a single mother. She has since survived both cancer and a divorce.
Involved in singles ministry for the last fifteen years, Carol understands the needs of the single person; as well as the sorrows related to illness, aging and being alone in a coupled society.
